IMPORTANT NOTE

All  documents of Canadian origin that will be used in the Dominican Republic must first be passed through Global Affairs Canada,  https://www.international.gc.ca /global-affairs-affaires-mondiales/home-accueil.aspx?lang=eng  o to the offices of Official Document Services (Only for the Province of Ontario), at 222 Jarvis Street West, downtown Toronto, and then to our offices to be legalized and translated.

Tourist Visa Requirements (TS & TM)

 

Tourism visas are granted for tourist, cultural trips, attendance at congresses or conventions. They will be valid for 60 days and will be valid for a single entry or for multiple entries. The beneficiaries can not perform lucrative activities in Dominican territory.

All citizens of the world can apply for a Tourism Visa for the Dominican Republic at the Dominican consular offices.

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS OF SIMPLE TOURISM (TS) OR MULTIPLE TOURISM (TM):

  • Visa form filled out and duly completed by machine or legible. Available at the headquarters of the consular offices or in the services portal.

  • Letter of Visa application (Without notarizing) subscribed by the beneficiary or his representative, containing name, nationality, place of residence, activity to which he is dedicated, economic means with which he has and purpose of travel to the country.

  • One (1) photograph size 4 x 5 centimeters, front and with white background.

  • Original passport with a minimum validity of six (06) months.

  • Legible photocopy of the Residence Card. (If applicable).

  • Authorization of the parents or guardian, when it is a minor and who requests is not the father or the mother.

  • Documents showing economic solvency: 1) bank letter (s) of your savings account, checking account or bank certificates, 2) Labor Certification (indicating your date of entry to the company, position held in the company, salary), 3) Titles of ownership of your residence, business, farm or land, or vehicle registration if you own them.

  • Dominican and other countries visas valid or expired.

  • Legible copy of flight reservation updated to the date of your trip.

For the guarantor in RD:

Letter of Guarantee duly Notarized and legalized in the Attorney General's Office, this document must be presented by the applicant along with the other documents on the day of his interview in the Dominican consulate, it is essential that this letter of guarantee contains the following clause , so that it can be accepted by our Diplomatic or Consular Mission.

WARRANTY CLAUSE

"I guarantee that (name, nationality and passport) will not stay in the Dominican Republic longer than the one granted by the General Directorate of Migration, nor will it request residency or change of migratory status from the Dominican territory, exclusively dedicated to the activity for which He was granted the visa. "I am morally and economically responsible for the return of my country of origin, assuming to pay in favor of the Dominican State any expenses incurred by that person during his stay in the country, or that originates as a result of his repatriation or deportation of the same. "

** This Letter of Guarantee will only be required in the countries that are considered as Migratory Risk: CUBA, BEIJING, HONG KONG, INDIA, HAITI, SYRIA, AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN, IRAN AND IRAQ.
